The Forum is an activity within Moodle that facilitates asynchronous communication and collaboration among teachers and students, as well as between students themselves. Depending on the type of forum selected, teachers can start discussion topics or permit students to create their own. Forums can be used for a variety of reasons, such as making one-way announcements, organising structured or open discussions for the entire class or for smaller groups, or even serving as a means of assessment.
