SSI Topics in Subjects (30 min)**\n\n\n---\n\n*Form small groups of 2–3 participants, ideally covering a broad range of subject areas: Geography, History, Economics, Religious Education / Ethics / Philosophy, Mathematics, Science (Biology / Chemistry), Civics & Global Citizenship Education, First Language, Modern Foreign Language.*\n\n\n---\n\n* Familiarise yourself with the [Mindomo platform](https://www.mindomo.com/mindmap/722721b9fcb847f9ba2e2a49a554f28b). Enter a user name to start.\n* Choose whether to work in the mind-map or outline view.\n* Review the list of SSI topics previously identified by the project.\n* Check your schoolbooks, curricula, and teaching materials for existing or additional relevant topics.\n* For **each identified topic**, add the following details to the mind-map:\n * Subject in which the topic appears\n * Grade level at which it is taught (starting from Grade 1)\n* For **any new SSI topics** not yet listed, add:\n * The topic name\n * The subject in which it appears\n * The grade level (starting from Grade 1)\n\n\n---\n\n\n:::tip\n*Explain the goal and task clearly. SSI Topics across Subjects (5 min)**\n\n* Explore the digital mind-map and upvote topics you believe are important to raise awareness of across subjects.\n* Focus on topics you feel would benefit from short SSI summaries to support teachers.\n\n\n---\n\n\n:::tip\n*Show an example of an SSI summary (e.g. fast fashion). Explain its purpose and value. Demonstrate how to upvote a topic in Mindomo:*\\n*– mind-map view: right click → Text & Link → Comment → Upvote*\\n*– outline view: left click on the bullet point → Comment → Upvote*\n\n:::\n\n\n---\n\n## **3. Favourite SSI Topics (10 min)**\n\n* Select three SSI topics you could see yourself using as authentic contexts in your lesson plan to foster subject-specific competences and meta-scientific literacies.\n* Write each topic on a separate A4 sheet using markers. \n\n\n---\n\n\n:::tip\n*Remind participants that SSI topics serve as connecting threads or real-world contexts in SciLMi lesson planning.
