<p>The SciLMi Train the Trainer Week is open exclusively to those involved in <strong>secondary school teacher education</strong>.</p>

<h4>What counts as teacher education?</h4>

<p>For the purposes of this application, teacher education includes all activities that support <strong>secondary school teachers</strong>' professional learning and develop their competences, including:</p>

<ul>
	<li>Delivering training courses, workshops, or webinars (any duration or format)</li>
	<li>Supervising pre-service teachers during school placements or practicums</li>
	<li>Mentoring or coaching novice or experienced teachers</li>
	<li>Facilitating job shadowing and peer observation</li>
	<li>Leading in-school initiatives to develop teaching practice or advising colleagues on subject-specific teaching</li>
	<li>Developing self-paced learning resources for teacher education (e.g. textbooks, MOOCs, e-learning modules)</li>
</ul>

<p>Participation in the SciLMi Train the Trainer Week is therefore open to:</p>

<ul>
	<li>Teacher educators, trainers, mentors, supervisors, or coaches working with pre- or in-service secondary school teachers</li>
	<li>School leaders, principals, or deputies of secondary schools</li>
	<li>Subject coordinators or heads of department in secondary schools</li>
	<li>Secondary school subject teachers with a clear ambition to take on a coaching, mentoring, or supervisory role (please provide a strong justification in your application)</li>
</ul>

<h4>Requirements</h4>

<ul>
	<li>The course is conducted in English. Participants must have <strong>good English language skills</strong>.</li>
	<li><strong>Full participation</strong> in the Train the Trainer Week is required:
	<ul>
		<li>Arrival on Sunday, 19 April 2026</li>
		<li>Full-day programme from Monday through Friday</li>
		<li>Departure on Saturday, 26 April 2026</li>
	</ul>
	</li>

<details><summary>Funding Options</summary>

<h4 style="text-align: left;">Travel & Accommodation Funding</h4>

<p style="text-align: left;">Applicants can choose one of the following funding options:</p>

<ul>
	<li>
	<p><strong>Erasmus+ SciLMi Teacher Academy funding</strong></p>

	<p>There are no course fees.
To support cross-country collaboration and team-building, all participants stay at the seminar hotel for the duration of the week.</p>

	<p>Accommodation is provided free of charge from Sunday to Saturday. Lunch is also provided free of charge on course days, Monday to Friday.
Proof of travel arrangements must be uploaded within seven days of receiving the acceptance letter. Participants will be supported in identifying the most cost-effective travel options available.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed, up to the amount specified in the letter, after completion of the full training.</p>

	<p>To support first-time engagement, applicants from institutions not yet accredited under the Erasmus+ Programme receive additional points in the selection process, giving them a better chance of being selected.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p><strong>Erasmus+ KA1 funding</strong> arranged by the participant's university or school or <strong>private funding</strong></p>

	<p>There are no course fees.
To support cross-country collaboration and team-building, all participants stay at the seminar hotel for the duration of the week.</p>

	<p>Accommodation is arranged by the organisers from Sunday to Saturday.
Lunch is arranged on course days, Monday to Friday.
Participants will be charged EUR 105 per night for accommodation and EUR 25 for each lunch. An invoice for the total amount of EUR 755 will be issued by the hotel after the course.</p>

	<p>Participants will be supported in identifying the most cost-effective travel options available.
Travel expenses must be covered through the participants' KA1 or private funding.</p>

	<p>Erasmus+ KA1 funding is expected to cover all costs.</p>

	<p>Selecting KA1 or private funding may enhance participants' chances of being selected, as specific places are allocated to this funding category.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Applications are assessed through a structured and transparent selection process.</p>

<ul>

	<p><strong>Verification of Application Details</strong>
Before the review, application details are checked for accuracy, in particular whether the applicant's organisation is accredited under the Erasmus+ Programme and whether the information provided accurately reflects the applicant's role and experience in teacher education.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p><strong>Blind Review</strong>
Motivational texts are reviewed independently by four team members in a blind review.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p><strong>Score Calculation</strong></p>

	<p>Applicants who submit an inspiring practice in a field relevant to SciLMi receive additional points, in recognition of their contribution and to promote the sharing of effective approaches.</p>

	<p>Applicants from institutions not yet accredited under the Erasmus+ Programme receive additional points to ensure they are prioritised, in line with the project's aim of supporting first-time engagement with Erasmus+.</p>
	</li>
	<li style="padding-bottom:10px"><strong>Ranking</strong>
Separate rankings are generated for the places offered under the funding options:
	<ul>
		<li>Erasmus+ KA1 or private funding</li>
		<li>Erasmus+ SciLMi funding</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p><strong>Selection</strong>
Available places within each funding category are offered first to the highest-ranked applicants in that category. All applicants are then informed of the outcome.</p>
	</li>
</ul>

<h4 style="text-align: left;">Communication of Selection Results</h4>

<ul>
	<li>Applicants will be informed in <strong>March 2026</strong> whether they have been selected and offered a place, or added to the waiting list. Applicants on the waiting list may still receive an offer in a second selection round if another participant declines their place or fails to confirm their participation.</li>
</ul>

<h4 style="text-align: left;">Confirmation of Participation & Travel Arrangements</h4>

<ul>
	<li>Applicants who are officially offered a place will be required to arrange their travel and submit proof of their booking (train or flight) within seven days in order to secure their place. If this requirement is not met, the participation offer will be withdrawn and the place will be offered to a candidate on the waiting list.</li>
