By drawing your students' attention to the grading criteria before assignment submission, they're more likely to meet expectations for the assignment.\n\n\n### Enable advanced grading using rubrics\n\n\n1. Navigate to the assignment you would like to grade with a rubric.\n\n \\\n2. From the Change active grading method drop-down options, select **Rubric**.\n\n \\\n4. Give your rubric a title and description.\n\n \\\n2. Define your rubric:\n\n \n 1. To add a criterion, click **+Add criterion** below the rubric to create another row. \n 2. To add a level, click **Add level** in the rightmost column to add another column. \n 3. To define criterion, select **Click to edit criterion** in the leftmost column of boxes.\n 4. To define levels and points, select **Click to edit level.** \n 5. Browse the available templates by scrolling down the page. If you know the name of the template, you can also search for a template with the search bar at the top of the page.\n\n \\\n2. Find the template you would like to use.\n\n \\\n3. Click **Use this template** located below the **rubric options** for that rubric.\n\n \\\n4. Click **Continue** to confirm that you would like to use the grading form as a template for your assignment.\n\n\n#### Provide feedback and grade using a rubric\n\n\n1.
